Hello, again.
After several years of hard work, I'm excited to share that my new novel, No. 10 DOYERS STREET, comes out in March of next year.Â
It's set in early 1900s NYC, based on real events, and tells the story of a Chinatown gangster, Mock Duck, whose daughter is seized by the authorities. The novel is written from the perspective of a woman journalist from India. (I was surprised to learn that there were South Asians living and working in the US during the 19th and early 20th centuries.)
Here's what Doyers Street looked like back in the day:

And here's a picture of Mock Duck himself (it's a police photo, as you can tell.)
I'll send more information in the coming months. But in the meantime, if you would like to consider the novel for book clubs, libraries etc., please let me know.
Also, I just wanted to give you a heads up that moving forward, I'll be sending out this email via substack. This doesn't affect anything for you--your information still remains private. But it just makes it easier for me to handle sign ups, and send images without clogging up your inbox. Also, I think it will look a bit snazzier!
I hope 2024 is off to a good start for you. Â
Thanks as always for your support and patience.
Cheers,
Radha
